Saras Jasikevicius speaks for the first time after the championship

Fenerbahçe Beko became the champion of the 2024-2025 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season. The yellow-navy team achieved another historic success by defeating the French representative Monaco 81-70 in the final match played in Berlin, the capital of Germany. With this victory, Fenerbahçe brought the second EuroLeague trophy in club history to its museum, following their 2017 title.

Fenerbahçe Beko's Lithuanian head coach, Saras Jasikevicius, experienced the first EuroLeague championship of his career with this victory. Speaking to S Sport after the match, the experienced coach described the difficulties he faced and the team's resilience with these words:

"I have experienced a lot of heartbreak, but we achieved this together with these players. I entered the court a lot during the game; I actually didn't want to. I warned my players a lot, we worked very hard. I also congratulate Monaco; any team that came here could have won the trophy. They are also a great team. This success did not come easily. We have been playing really good basketball since January. As a team, we stayed together against every difficulty, found our way, and finally succeeded."
