Sarunas Jasikevicius: 'We must play well to win'

Fenerbahçe Beko head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius and national player Sertaç Şanlı shared their thoughts on the Anadolu Efes derby.

Emphasizing that they are heading into an important and difficult match, Jasikevicius stated, "We have a great rivalry with Anadolu Efes for the Istanbul derby. We have great respect for our opponent's coaching staff and their championship-winning roster. Playing away is always difficult. We need to put on a good performance to get a win in such a tough arena."

Underlining that they must remain loyal to their game plan throughout the match, Sertaç Şanlı noted the following:

"A very difficult and important match awaits us. We have won 3 games in a row in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. We got what we wanted from the double-game week, but we know that this time we will be facing a very good team that needs the win at least as much as we do. We must stick to our game plan for 40 minutes and be ready to contribute as soon as we step onto the court. A very competitive and enjoyable battle awaits us. I hope we are the winning side."
