In the 18th week of the Trendyol Super Lig, Trabzonspor was defeated 2-1 away by Samsunspor. Trabzonspor manager Şenol Güneş made statements at the press conference held after the match.
Stating that they suffered a disappointing defeat, Güneş said, "We wanted to reflect our need to win on the pitch. We started the game poorly. We had turnovers. We knew the opponent would counter-attack quickly.
They took a 1-0 lead through 2-3 chances. We found a goal in the second half. We also played well. When we conceded the second goal from a set-piece, we lost our momentum.
In general, our dominance in the game was not reflected in the score. We needed a breakthrough. Unfortunately, we lost. We haven't won a single away game. We will look to the upcoming matches," he said.
