Serdal Adalı wanted to show Erdoğan controversial plays! Advisors intervened
It has been alleged that Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı wanted to show President Erdoğan controversial plays from the Süper Lig.
A striking claim has emerged regarding the meetings held by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with the presidents and executives of the four major clubs. It was alleged that Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı went to the meeting with Erdoğan carrying an iPad, intending to show him some controversial plays from the first three weeks of the Süper Lig.
As part of the reception program, Erdoğan first met with Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı. Later, Fenerbahçe Club President Aziz Yıldırım, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek, and Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan were also received along with their board members.
According to journalist Timurtaş Burak Uçar, Adalı attended President Erdoğan's invitation with an iPad in hand. Uçar claimed that Adalı wanted to show Erdoğan some plays that occurred during the first three weeks of the league.
According to Uçar's claim, Presidential advisors opposed this request. It was reported that the advisors stated, "Our President is not the UEFA or FIFA President. What could he possibly say about these plays?"
In his assessment of the matter, Uçar questioned what Erdoğan watching and commenting on controversial plays would change in terms of football. No official statement regarding the claim has been released by the club or Presidential sources.
