In the rescheduled match of the 1st week of the Trendyol Super League, Beşiktaş defeated Kayserispor 4-0 away from home. Beşiktaş manager Sergen Yalçın made statements at the press conference held after the match.
Yalçın said, "We are happy because we won. We had suffered a heavy defeat last week. Today was a match that we thought would add value in a positive sense, both in terms of morale and motivation and for what comes next. It was a comfortable victory. I thank my players. I congratulate them, they fought very well.
We had a very depleted squad. In the last two matches, 10-12 of our players have been waiting. We are playing with other players. We haven't been able to bring the players together and get them organized. We had to play with different squads, but we will play with a full squad in the upcoming matches from now on. As of today, there was an acceptable performance and score for Beşiktaş. I thank my players," he said.
