Ahead of the Fenerbahçe - Beşiktaş match to be played on Sunday, May 4, in the 34th week of the Süper Lig, Sergen Yalçın expressed his thoughts on the Kafa Sports YouTube channel.
Yalçın stated that despite Fenerbahçe's home-field advantage, they have not been able to secure a win against the top-tier teams this season. 'I think Fenerbahçe is the favorite due to playing at home. When I look at Fenerbahçe's fixture, they haven't been able to beat Galatasaray, Samsun, Beşiktaş, or Eyüpspor. Fenerbahçe hasn't been able to beat any of the teams in the top 5. Therefore, you can't easily say, "Unfortunately, Fenerbahçe will win," for the Beşiktaş derby they will play at home,' he said.
BEŞİKTAŞ'S SUCCESSES IN KADIKÖY
Yalçın also reminded that Beşiktaş has achieved significant victories in Kadıköy in the past. 'If we go back a bit, Beşiktaş also has very serious victories in Kadıköy. We can say that Fenerbahçe is now playing the final matches of the league. If they don't win the Beşiktaş derby, the league will be completely over for them,' he stated.
