Altay has announced that it has parted ways with head coach Serkan Afacan.
Altay, one of the teams in the Trendyol 1st League, has parted ways with head coach Serkan Afacan.
In a statement released by the Altay Club, it was stated, "Following our meeting with our head coach Serkan Afacan, we have mutually agreed to part ways within a framework of goodwill and consensus. We thank Serkan Afacan and his staff for their services and wish them success in their careers."
Altay, which started the season with Ayhan Tuna Üzümcü, later appointed Djilali Bahloul as head coach. Following Bahloul's departure on November 20, the team was entrusted to Serkan Afacan in the 13th week.
Under Afacan's management, Altay lost both league matches and was eliminated from the Ziraat Turkish Cup in the 4th round after being defeated by Tuna Tarım Kırklarelispor.
