Sivasspor alleges rule violation in Sakaryaspor match
A potential rule violation on the pitch has become a talking point following the match between Sivasspor and Sakaryaspor in the Trendyol 1st League.
The match between Sakaryaspor and Özbelsan Sivasspor in the 8th week of the Trendyol 1st League ended in a 0-0 draw.
During the match, Sakaryaspor having 7 foreign players on the pitch at the same time sparked discussions regarding a rule violation.
According to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) rules, a team in the Trendyol 1st League is permitted to have a maximum of 6 foreign players on the pitch.
Having identified the situation, the Özbelsan Sivasspor management has decided to file an official application to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
Following the application, the TFF is expected to register the match as a 3-0 forfeit victory in favor of Sivasspor if the rule violation is confirmed.
There has been no official statement from the Sakaryaspor side yet.
