Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki has warned citizens against the snowfall expected to affect Istanbul this evening.
In a statement on his social media account, Minister Özhaseki reminded that according to the weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology, rain and, in some places, heavy snowfall are expected in Istanbul from this evening until Tuesday morning.
Özhaseki stated, "I urge our citizens to take the warnings of authorized units into account and to be careful and cautious against disruptions in transportation, as well as negative situations such as icing, frost, wind, and roof damage, tree and pole toppling due to storms."
