Sold for a record transfer fee: The disappointing reality of Ferdi Kadıoğlu at Fenerbahçe
The revenue Fenerbahçe will generate from the sale of Ferdi Kadıoğlu to Brighton will be significantly reduced due to a profit-sharing agreement with his former club and various deductions.
Ferdi Kadıoğlu, whom Fenerbahçe transferred from the Dutch team NEC Nijmegen for 1.4 million Euros at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, is moving to English Premier League side Brighton for a record transfer fee.
According to a report by Takvim, it is claimed that the yellow-navy blues have reached an agreement with the English club for 30 million Euros.
The Canaries will pay 2.5 percent of this revenue to Nijmegen as a training compensation fee. Additionally, 10 percent of the sale proceeds will go to the Dutch club.
Fifty percent of the remaining amount will be deducted due to the agreement with the Banks Association. After the Ferdi Kadıoğlu transfer, Fenerbahçe will retain 44 percent of the transfer revenue.
Assuming the transfer is completed at 30 million Euros, the amount that will actually reach Fenerbahçe's coffers will be 13 million Euros.
