The Royal Spanish Football Federation has made its decision regarding head coach Luis de la Fuente.
The contract of Spain National Football Team head coach de la Fuente was set to expire after EURO 2024.
In a statement released by the federation, it was announced that the clause in the Spanish coach's contract has been activated and that a contract has been signed with Luis de la Fuente until 2026.
It was stated that the 62-year-old coach will remain at the helm of the team until the end of the 2026 World Cup.
Having coached Spain's youth national teams between 2013 and 2021, de la Fuente took charge of the team on an interim basis on June 1, 2021. After a two-year hiatus, the Spanish coach was reappointed as the head of the Spain National Team in 2023.
