Spectator ban for suspect who threatened Trabzonspor on social media

The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has imposed a spectator ban on a suspect identified as having threatened Trabzonspor, which is set to face Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in the 3rd week of the Süper Lig, via social media accounts.

In a statement issued by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that a post containing threats and provocations targeting the Trabzonspor delegation was detected on social media ahead of the Amedspor Sportif Faaliyetler vs. Trabzonspor match to be held on August 31.

The statement included the following:

"This isolated post has no connection to any club or fan group. An investigation has been launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the suspect, and a spectator ban has been imposed in accordance with Law No. 6222.

All judicial measures will be resolutely maintained to ensure the match takes place in an environment of safety and sportsmanship.

No attempt or provocation aimed at harming the unifying spirit of sports will be permitted."
