Statement from Antalyaspor regarding Jehezkel

Süper Lig club Antalyaspor's president Sinan Boztepe, whose team has failed to secure a victory in their last 4 matches, made statements ahead of the Galatasaray match.

Stating that their hope and belief for the match against Galatasaray, which they will play away on Monday, is to make them drop points on their home turf, Boztepe said, "We have had a poor run in recent weeks. However, with other teams also dropping points, we are in almost the same position in the standings. There is no deviation from our goals. I have full faith that we will correct this poor run."

Boztepe noted that their goal has always been third place and touched upon the fluctuating table in the league. "The performances of Anatolian teams and teams in the championship race are variable. We are still maintaining our claim. Third, fourth, or fifth place; these are not difficult processes," he said.

Pointing out that they will take a point or points from the Galatasaray match, Boztepe stated, "Our hope and belief is to make Galatasaray drop points on their home field. God willing, we will return from Galatasaray with points. Our goal is to return from there with a point or points."

Stating that it was a mistake not to lift the transfer ban during the mid-season transfer window, Boztepe said, "This was the biggest mistake I have made during my presidency so far. The process is like this. We are thinking about the future of our club. Let everyone be cautious and consistent. The process from here on will be more enjoyable."

JEHEZKEL REMARKS

Stating that the issue regarding Israeli player Sagiv Jehezkel, who drew backlash after his goal celebration in the Trabzonspor match and was subsequently sent away from Turkey, is currently with the TFF and legal experts, Boztepe said, "The Jehezkel issue is currently entirely in the hands of the TFF and the legal process. We are following it closely. Our goal is for Antalyaspor to emerge with the least amount of damage."
