A statement has been released regarding the health status of Ciro Immobile, who was injured during the derby match in which Beşiktaş defeated Fenerbahçe 1-0 in the 15th week of the Süper Lig.
The statement from the black-and-white club included the following:
"Following the match our Football A Team played against Fenerbahçe, our player Ciro Immobile felt pain in the back of his right thigh. Clinical evaluation and MRI imaging performed at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital revealed a strain and edema in the posterior thigh muscle (semimembranosus). Treatment for Ciro Immobile has been initiated by our medical team."
The 34-year-old striker has scored 13 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for Beşiktaş this season.
