Fenerbahçe has issued a statement regarding a news report about the health status of Mert Hakan Yandaş, who underwent surgery due to an injury.
Mert Hakan Yandaş had been hospitalized and underwent an operation due to an infection in his left ankle joint.
The fact that no statement had been made regarding Yandaş despite 20 days having passed since the operation in question led to a striking claim being put forward. According to a report published in Odatv, it was alleged that Mert Hakan, who has been treated for an infection in the hospital for nearly a month, was facing the risk of amputation.

The following statements were included in the announcement made on the official website of the yellow-navy club:
"The news published today by the Oda TV channel regarding the health status of our player Mert Hakan Yandaş is entirely false. As we previously announced, our player, who underwent a successful operation, is preparing to be discharged. We present this to the public's information."
