Statement from Fenerbahçe regarding Oosterwolde's health status
Fenerbahçe gained an advantage ahead of the return leg by defeating Austria's Sturm Graz 2-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round. However, the injury sustained by Fenerbahçe's Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde during the match dampened spirits.
Oosterwolde suffered an injury against Sturm Graz and was forced to leave the game in the 30th minute.
Fenerbahçe executive Cihan Kamer stated that the Dutch defender will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks.
The 25-year-old player, who went down after a challenge with an opponent in the 28th minute of the match, was unable to continue.
Oosterwolde was replaced by Archie Brown in the 30th minute.
