It has been announced that Fenerbahçe head coach Domenico Tedesco is continuing his treatment due to an infection and will not travel with the team to Gaziantep. The yellow-navy side will be without Tedesco for the critical Ziraat Turkish Cup match against Gaziantep Football Club.
The Italian coach, who is continuing his treatment while resting in Istanbul, is expected to return to the sidelines for the match against Samsunspor scheduled for the weekend. Assistant coach Zeki Murat Göle will once again take charge in place of Tedesco, who was also unable to serve during the recently played Antalyaspor match.
The statement from the club read: "Our head coach Domenico Tedesco's treatment process continues due to a severe infection. Accordingly, our coach will not be able to lead our team in today's Ziraat Turkish Cup Group C 4th week match against Gaziantep FK. Assistant coach Zeki Murat Göle will assume technical responsibility for our team in the aforementioned match. It is planned for our head coach Domenico Tedesco to be at the helm of our team for the Samsunspor match we will play this weekend. We present this to the public's information."
