Statement from Keçiörengücü on Barış Alper Yılmaz: No official offer from Galatasaray
Speaking about the potential transfer of Barış Alper Yılmaz, the President of Keçiörengücü said: "Our current intention is to receive our 20 percent share."
A statement has come from Ankara Keçiörengücü, the former club of national footballer Barış Alper Yılmaz, who currently plays for Galatasaray, regarding his potential transfer. Club President Sedat Tahiroğlu said regarding the revenue that would arise from a potential transfer, "Our intention is to receive our 20 percent share arising from the contract."
The president of the capital city representative, which started the season with 3 points, reminded that they have the right to receive a 20 percent share from Barış Alper's future sale, in accordance with the agreement made with Galatasaray.
OUR INTENTION IS TO RECEIVE OUR 20 PERCENT SHARE
Stating that they have not yet held any discussions with Galatasaray Club regarding the matter, Keçiörengücü President Sedat Tahiroğlu said the following:
"It has been talked about for two years that Barış could be sold. This topic came up frequently last season as well, but we have not received an official offer from Galatasaray saying, 'Let us buy out your 20 percent share from the sale.' I do not know whether such an offer will come after this. If an offer comes, then we will evaluate our position. Our current intention is to receive our 20 percent share. However, Galatasaray is a large community, and I think this is an issue that can be resolved by discussing it between the two clubs."
"BARIŞ ALPER YILMAZ IS WORTH 50 MILLION EUROS"
Keçiörengücü President Sedat Tahiroğlu stated that Barış Alper Yılmaz is a very talented and high-quality footballer and used the following expressions:
"If you ask us, Barış Alper is worth 50 million euros, but it doesn't happen just by us saying it. In my opinion, Barış is a very talented and high-quality footballer. His personality is the same way. I hope it will be a beneficial result for Galatasaray, for him, and for us. It should be a process where all three parties win. In other words, Galatasaray, Keçiörengücü, and Barış should all make money from this. Of course, rather than Barış being sold, what he wants is also important. However, we have to think professionally. I do not think Galatasaray would say 'no' to this when the right offer is made at the right time. As I said, no official offer has come to us to date, but there have been some inquiries through intermediaries. If this situation becomes serious, we will consult with our board of directors and make a decision."
