Statement from Lucescu regarding Beşiktaş!
Experienced manager Mircea Lucescu has announced that he received an offer from the Hasan Arat administration and that he rejected this offer.
In Beşiktaş, which has failed to meet expectations this season and fallen behind in the title race, Portuguese manager Fernando Santos has also been unable to stop the poor run of form.
The Black and Whites' previously linked experienced manager Mircea Lucescu made significant statements to the Italian press before the club reached an agreement with Santos.
"I SAID 'NO' TO BEŞİKTAŞ"
Speaking to Tuttosport, the 78-year-old Romanian manager stated, "I will manage a team next season. For the first time in 50 years, I have rested. Unfortunately, due to what is happening in Ukraine, I decided to stop and wait for June. For this reason, I said 'No' to Beşiktaş, who wanted me during the season."
Lucescu, who appeared in 118 matches at the helm of Dynamo Kyiv, had left his post in November.
Lucescu previously managed the Turkish National Team, as well as Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, in Turkey.
