Ahead of the historic Fenerbahçe congress, Ali Koç and Aziz Yıldırım faced off in a live broadcast last night.
The broadcast featuring the two presidential candidates, which was expected to air on NOW TV, was cancelled. Yıldırım and Koç appeared on Habertürk instead.
While the reason for the cancellation of the broadcast on NOW TV became a subject of curiosity, the channel provided an explanation as to why Ali Koç and Aziz Yıldırım did not appear on the program.
The statement made by NOW TV to Spor Digital Editor-in-Chief Yağız Sabuncuoğlu is as follows:
"The parties did not want a moderator. Then it was said, 'Let there be a moderator, but they should not ask questions.' NOW TV Editor-in-Chief Doğan Şentürk did not accept the proposal, and the broadcast was cancelled."
