Statement from Serdal Adalı regarding Necip Uysal and Mert Günok

The 3rd Ordinary Divan Board Meeting of 2025 for Beşiktaş Club is being held at the Atilla İlhan Hall of the Akatlar Mustafa Kemal Center. During the meeting, Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made statements regarding the management's activities and plans.

Speaking about the community's sponsorship strategy, Adalı said, "A strong administrative and institutional structure only strengthens when supported by efficient, qualified, and sustainable collaborations. Unfortunately, we have experienced periods where we lagged behind our rivals in our sponsorship network. Regaining our competitive advantage and increasing our financial gains in this area is one of our primary priorities. We are launching a new era in our sponsorship strategies that will elevate our performance from recent years. We are not only refreshing our existing partnerships but also continuing our efforts for new and prestigious collaborations that will make a difference in our various branches," he said.

"EVERY MANAGEMENT WILL BE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR BUDGET OVERRUNS DURING THEIR TERM"

Emphasizing that every management team will be responsible for the financial statement during their own term, President Adalı said, "The greatest guarantee of the expected revenue increase with the administrative transformation and investments we have planned is the new financial system we are building. For sustainable success, we are taking our financial structure out of the initiative of individuals and binding it to unshakeable institutional rules. We are moving the principle of budget discipline from being an abstract concept to a clear, binding, and permanent regulation in our club's charter. In the new era, every management in office will be personally responsible for budget overruns during their term. We want every management to cover the difference with their own resources if they spend more than the planned and generated revenue. The club's resources will be used in line with the club's interests but only within defined limits. We also commit to covering any financial difference that may arise during our own term with our personal resources. We are here to serve Beşiktaş. We will leave Beşiktaş to future generations in much better conditions than the picture we inherited. We promise that we will leave this seat without leaving a single penny of debt for our club. We want to make this charter amendment in the first quarter of 2026," he stated.

"WE AIM TO REDUCE THE ELECTION PERIOD TO TWO YEARS"

Expressing that they are considering a charter change regarding the presidential term, Serdal Adalı said, "Another charter change plan we have is regarding holding elections every two years. With the charter change we propose, we aim to reduce our ordinary elective general assemblies to two years, as in the Süleyman Seba era. This regulation will be valid from our term onwards. In other words, the term of the current management will also be shortened by one year with the new regulation. Let the incoming administrations do what they will do within these two years; if they cannot, let our community make the decision again at the general assembly," he assessed.

"THE DAY IS NOT THE DAY TO GIVE CREDIT TO ARTIFICIAL CHAOS"

Speaking about what happened at the financial and general assembly held at the beginning of November, President Serdal Adalı said, "What happened at the last financial and general assembly was frankly an unfortunate process for our community. I want to ask those friends who, just to feed an environment of chaos, provoked our general assembly and staged 'non-release' scenarios and made this community experience those unsightly images; what did we do in those 20 days we took over to be met with this reaction? Not even a month had passed; which transfer did we make? Which tender did we sign? Which decision did we make regarding our property? We only did one thing; that was to work day and night to clear the wreckage left by those who shirked their duties and to get Beşiktaş back on its feet. Beşiktaş fans and congress members will never forget the scandal caused by those who ignore the ruin they created themselves and sacrifice Beşiktaş's interests for their personal ambitions. I ask you; while the seeds of our plans and projects were just being sown, how fair is it to face such a reaction for only 20 days? Is there no ill intent behind this hasty attitude, these untimely attacks? Let everyone know well; Beşiktaş is not ownerless and will never be surrendered to these dirty games. In a large community like Beşiktaş with tens of thousands of congress members, it is of course not an ideal picture for the release of the management to be determined by a few hundred votes. We all agree on this. However; during the release process; a count was made in the hall, and the release took place. Despite all this, unfortunately, we are also experiencing a court process. Such discussions do not suit Beşiktaş. Now is the time to unite for the success of Beşiktaş instead of such agendas. Our community has lost a lot of time with extraordinary elections and constant coaching changes. For us, the essential thing is stability. Beşiktaş can only walk towards its goals with an environment of stability built on solid foundations. We will not bow to these operations; we will continue to carry Beşiktaş to brighter tomorrows with the strength we draw from our unity and solidarity. The day is not the day to give credit to artificial chaos, but a day to unite more tightly for Beşiktaş," he stated.

"WE WANT TO MAKE PINPOINT TRANSFERS"

Explaining the transfer plans for the football team, the black-and-white president said, "Beşiktaş's transfer strategy is to include 'pinpoint' names in the squad who can play directly in the starting 11 and add immediate strength to the team, without compromising financial discipline. Although the results we received in the first half of the season do not make us happy on the scoreboard, the realities on the field paint a much different picture. For example; we are the leaders in position production. The fact that we are the team that enters the most goal-scoring positions in the league is a signal that the system we established has started to work. Compared to the first weeks, we have taken on an identity that is constantly improving, not afraid of the opponent, and dominating the game, and our momentum is upward. I would like to express my gratitude to our coach Sergen Yalçın and the technical team for their intense efforts in this regard. While our game power is at this level, we see that it is only a matter of time before the missed positions turn into scores. In summary, the score is temporary, the strong game quality on the field is permanent. This performance is the biggest harbinger of the series of victories we expect in the second half. Based on this; we aim to carry the upward momentum we have achieved in our team value even higher with the moves we will make in this transfer period. As you know; we had made young player transfers such as Keny Arroyo and Elan Ricardo within the TFF limits. We managed these transfers not as individual ones, but as a portfolio success. We provided economic input with the sale of one of these two players for 8 million Euros and the loaning of the other. These players may have had incompatibility in our team, but in the end, they are transfers that we turned into economic value. In this way, we provided a total cash inflow of approximately 9 million Euros," he said.

"NECİP UYSAL AND MERT GÜNOK WILL NOT BE IN OUR NEW TERM PLANNING"

Clarifying the decisions taken regarding Necip Uysal and Mert Günok, Serdal Adalı said, "With the report of our technical team and the approval of our board of directors; it has been notified to our professional football players Necip Uysal and Mert Günok that they will not be included in our new term planning, and both names have been asked to find themselves a club. I thank both of our players for their efforts and wish for this decision to be beneficial for our community," he said.

"OUR GOAL IS TO BECOME A PERMANENT BRAND IN THE EUROLEAGUE"

Stating that the strategic steps taken in the basketball branch recently are the most concrete indicator that Beşiktaş has become an 'ecole' again, Adalı said, "Under the management of our head coach Dusan, with the superior work of Nedim Yücel and Özkan Arseven, we are proud to watch a team that is extremely productive on the court and reflects the Beşiktaş spirit. As of today, while we maintain our undefeated leadership in the league, we also maintain our determination to reach the cup in Europe. However, our main goal, beyond these successes, is to make our club a permanent brand in the Euroleague arena without compromising financial discipline. This process, blended with managerial stability and sporting success, is just the beginning of those glorious basketball victories that our community expects," he stated.

"WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING AGAINST INJUSTICES WITHOUT INTERRUPTION FOR 40 YEARS"

Stating that a biased attitude is taken against the black-and-white community, President Serdal Adalı continued his words as follows:

"Protecting Beşiktaş's rights is our most primary and indispensable duty. However, at the point reached, referee errors that have become systematic in football have long since exceeded the limits of tolerance. As a community that has even seen days in the past when it conceded goals from the referee, we have been fighting against these injustices without interruption for 40 years. A double standard is applied to us not only in football but also in basketball. For example; the disproportionate penalty given to our coach and manager who expressed their justified criticisms after one of the recent matches is the most concrete indicator of this situation. The imposition of the heaviest fines directly for issues that normally require a warning is a clear reflection of this biased attitude taken against Beşiktaş. We will not surrender our labor on the field to these unfair sanctions at the desk. We will never give up. There may have been those among us who got tired or gave up on this path in the past, but we are here and we are standing tall. I also clearly stated this in my TFF and MHK visits in the past weeks and put our solution proposal on the table clearly. For us, the foreign VAR referee application is not a favor, but an inevitable necessity for the establishment of justice. We believe that this is one of the important legs of ensuring justice on the field. We will continue to make this demand heard loudly at every opportunity. We will not let anyone waste even a drop of Beşiktaş's sweat. We will not remain silent about our rights being usurped right before our eyes. We will not take a single step back from our justified struggle and upright stance. Our greatest strength on this path is our community that stands behind us with an unshakeable will. I have full faith that all components of our community, from our fans to our members, will be one voice and one heart in this sacred struggle. When we are together, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome, no right we cannot obtain."

"WE SENT OFF THE YEAR WITH A DERBY VICTORY WORTHY OF OUR GLORY"

Regarding the derby where they beat Fenerbahçe away in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, Serdal Adalı said, "I wholeheartedly congratulate our football team and technical staff who made us all proud by winning the last derby of the year away. We sent off the year with a derby victory worthy of our glory. Now, we are preparing to greet the new year with a victory with the derby on the court on January 4th. I celebrate the new year of you, our valuable members, our great fans, and our entire community with my most sincere wishes. I hope that 2026 will be a year in which our unity is strengthened, our successes continue, and it is crowned with cups and medals in every branch," he concluded his words.
