Statement from the lawyer of Galatasaray youth player Çağrı Balta regarding 'Fenerbahçe'
A statement has been issued by the lawyer of Çağrı Balta, who plays in the Galatasaray youth academy, regarding why he has not signed a new contract.
Çağrı Balta's lawyer, Mustafa Kandönmez, stated: "Although Galatasaray offered Çağrı the highest salary among youth players in his age group, my clients have declared that they have no financial expectations and that they only requested that Çağrı be given playing time in at least three matches within the squad rotation during the season, regardless of the number of minutes.
This was their only demand from Galatasaray to sign the contract.
We have felt the need to share with the public that my clients have in no way demanded a 'guaranteed starting 11' spot."
The 17-year-old footballer is expected to transfer to Fenerbahçe.
