Statement from the TFF regarding the number of signatures

A new statement has been issued regarding the TFF general elections, which clubs are attempting to move to an earlier date.

The statement made by the Turkish Football Federation is as follows:

"The Turkish Football Federation, an autonomous institution established by law, is an official international body affiliated with FIFA and UEFA, managed in accordance with its founding law, statutes, instructions, and regulations. All signatures submitted and withdrawn via notary are being recorded.

In this context, the number of signatures submitted via notary to date requesting that the elective financial general assembly scheduled for July 18, 2024, be moved forward is 109; the number of clubs that have declared their withdrawal of signatures via notary is 13; and the number of invalid signatures signed by unauthorized persons is 2. Consequently, the number of valid signatures is 94.

Furthermore, the Süper Lig Clubs Association Foundation, the 1st League Clubs Association, and the 2nd and 3rd League Clubs Association are three separate and independent institutions. No association president is a decision-maker or spokesperson on behalf of other associations, nor is any club president who has not been authorized by all member clubs of these associations a decision-maker, representative, or spokesperson for all professional clubs. A club president's claim that they have collected 136 signatures has no relation to reality whatsoever, and this statement binds only themselves.

The Turkish football public should have no doubt that the Turkish Football Federation will continue to provide accurate information to prevent the public from being misled and to combat disinformation."
