Fenerbahçe continues its transfer efforts to strengthen its defensive line after finishing the first half of the season as the leader. The yellow-navy team is taking steps to sign experienced center-back Stefan Savic, who plays for Atletico Madrid.
According to T24, the 32-year-old Montenegrin center-back has come onto Fenerbahçe's radar at a time when his contract with Atletico Madrid is set to expire in June 2024. It is noted that Savic's experience and quality are considered to be a significant potential contribution to Fenerbahçe's defensive line.
Despite interest in Chelsea's young talent Malang Sarr, who was suggested in previous transfer attempts, it is reported that the final choice is Savic. It is stated that the yellow-navy team's efforts regarding the details of the transfer and official announcements are ongoing.
