Sharing how it feels to be rivals on the pitch with his former teammate and current Eyüpspor manager Arda Turan, Yılmaz stated, "Neither of us would even know our own father on the pitch. That's how we were raised; it's great to be rivals with an old friend. Arda is also very successful. I hope he becomes even more successful."
