The Turkish Football Federation has issued a statement regarding recent allegations made by Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and former referee Erman Toroğlu.
The TFF's statement emphasized that anyone with such allegations should apply to the TFF and the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor with concrete evidence.
The TFF's statement is as follows:
"The Turkish Football Federation, with its deep-rooted history, prioritizes the playing of football within the framework of ethical rules and the establishment of fair, transparent, and impartial competitive conditions among clubs above all else.
Despite this, we are closely monitoring statements made through the media by members of certain football stakeholders regarding the Turkish Football Federation and its relevant boards, which carry the risk of fueling a chaotic environment.
If any allegation regarding the Turkish Football Federation, its relevant boards, or any sports club is to be brought to the agenda; in order to keep Turkish football away from artificial agendas, to avoid occupying the public with unverified news, and to ensure no one is left under suspicion, the relevant allegations must be shared with the Turkish Football Federation and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices of the Republic of Turkey along with concrete information and evidence. We state that the aforementioned allegations can only be shared with the public after their accuracy has been confirmed by the authorized institutions, and that the necessary actions will be taken by the Turkish Football Federation, thereby preventing statements aimed solely at defamation."
