Super Lig standings calculated without penalties! Is the top spot changing?
In the 27 weeks of the Super Lig so far, referees have pointed to the penalty spot 100 times, with Fenerbahçe being the team awarded the most penalties with 14. Galatasaray follows Fenerbahçe with 11 penalties, and the Super Lig standings excluding penalties have now been revealed.
In the Super Lig, where referee decisions often spark debate in the sports community, penalties awarded—or not awarded—are frequently on the agenda.
In the first 27 weeks of the league, referees blew the whistle for penalties 100 times.
While 77 of the 100 penalties resulted in goals, Fenerbahçe, which was awarded 14 penalties, and Galatasaray, which received 11, shared the top two spots. Both teams scored 9 goals from the penalties they were awarded.
As the debate over referees' penalty decisions continues in the sports community, a points table has been created that excludes goals scored from penalties in the Super Lig.
THE TOP SPOT REMAINS UNCHANGED, THE POINT GAP DROPS TO 1
