Super Lig standings calculated without penalties! Is the top spot changing?

In the Super Lig, where referee decisions often spark debate in the sports community, penalties awarded—or not awarded—are frequently on the agenda.

In the first 27 weeks of the league, referees blew the whistle for penalties 100 times.

While 77 of the 100 penalties resulted in goals, Fenerbahçe, which was awarded 14 penalties, and Galatasaray, which received 11, shared the top two spots. Both teams scored 9 goals from the penalties they were awarded.

As the debate over referees' penalty decisions continues in the sports community, a points table has been created that excludes goals scored from penalties in the Super Lig.

THE TOP SPOT REMAINS UNCHANGED, THE POINT GAP DROPS TO 1

In the Super Lig standings without penalties, the 2-point gap between the leader Galatasaray and 2nd-placed Fenerbahçe narrows to 1.

According to Transfermarkt, while Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor remain on the same points, Kasımpaşa closes the gap by 1 point against its rivals, whom it trails by 7 points in the actual standings.

The biggest change in the Super Lig standings without penalties occurs in the middle of the table. Alanyaspor drops 5 places, falling from 13th to 18th.
