Mert Hakan Yandaş, who scored the first goal for Fenerbahçe in their 4-1 victory over Pendikspor yesterday in the 29th week of the Süper Lig, became one of the most talked-about figures of the match.
Pendikspor Manager İbrahim Üzülmez reacted to the gesture Mert Hakan made during his goal celebration, stating, "What befits a player from a big club after such a goal is to go, take the ball, bring it to the center circle, and restart the game as soon as possible. It is not ethical or moral for him to come and do something like that in front of my bench."
WHAT KIND OF PENALTY WILL BE GIVEN?
Galatasaray, in a statement released today, claimed that Mert Hakan Yandaş threatened the referee of the Fenerbahçe - Pendikspor match, Kadir Sağlam, and asked, "This action, which includes the threatening words 'Be careful, you won't be able to leave here!' directed by Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş at match referee Kadir Sağlam and which has caused great outrage in the public, directly targets the Turkish Football Federation, the highest authority in Turkish football, as well as public will and authority. What stance will the TFF take, and what kind of penalty will be given to this player?"
Following these statements, Fenerbahçe made a post on its social media account. In the yellow-navy club's post, along with a photo of Mert Hakan, the words "Put your heart into it" were included.
