In his statement, Carles Puyol said, "Xavi is aware that he is in charge of a demanding club like Barcelona. We are going through a difficult period right now, but I am sure he will turn this situation around."
Puyol also added, "I know Barcelona; when you lose two matches or don't play well, the criticism increases. Expectations from the team and Xavi are high. We have had difficult moments due to injuries, and I am sure everything will get better."
