Surprise departure at Eyüpspor
Eyüpspor has parted ways with long-time head coach Atila Gerin by mutual agreement. It is alleged that the successful manager has begun negotiations with Kayserispor.
The four-and-a-half-year era of Atila Gerin at Eyüpspor has come to an end. In a statement released by the club, thanks were expressed to Atila Gerin for his efforts and contributions in various roles and most recently as head coach.
The statement read, "We would like to thank Mr. Atila Gerin, who served in various positions at our club for 4 and a half years and most recently held the position of head coach, for the labor and contributions he has provided to our club, and we wish him success in the next chapter of his career."
While Gerin's departure came as a surprise to the Eyüpspor community, it is being discussed behind the scenes that the experienced coach's next destination will be Kayserispor. An agreement is expected to be reached in the coming days with Kayserispor, which has been relegated to the Trendyol 1st League.
