A surprise suitor for Nicolò Zaniolo
Negotiations are progressing rapidly for the transfer of Galatasaray's Nicolò Zaniolo to Serie A side Udinese.
Italian journalist Nicolò Schira has announced that negotiations are ongoing for the transfer of Galatasaray player Nicolò Zaniolo to Serie A side Udinese.
According to a post on Schira's social media account, Zaniolo is open to joining Udinese. It was stated that Udinese is working to sign the player on a permanent transfer in order to meet Galatasaray's demands.
Schira also reported in a post on August 15 that Udinese had contacted Galatasaray regarding a loan with an option to buy for Zaniolo; however, he noted that Galatasaray is only open to letting the player go on a permanent transfer or with a mandatory purchase clause.
The 24-year-old Italian footballer transferred to Galatasaray from Roma in February 2023. Zaniolo, who quickly drew attention in the yellow-red jersey, was loaned to English Premier League side Aston Villa in the summer of 2023. Following his season in England, suitors from Italy have begun to emerge once again for Zaniolo, who has returned to Galatasaray.
