However, the famous couple received a rejection.
The school administration cited the "desire to protect" other students as the reason for not enrolling the children. It was stated that some parents were concerned about the privacy of their children.
Mertens said, "The parents do not want the school to be a constant source of news, and they are worried that the presence of the couple's children would change the school's dynamics."
