Tahir Kıran: I invite everyone to unite under the leadership of Aziz Yıldırım

Fenerbahçe Sports Club will hold an Extraordinary Elective General Assembly on June 6-7. As candidates carry out their work ahead of the election, former executive Tahir Kıran also made a statement directed at the community and potential candidates.

Stating that they must set aside personal agendas and unite on the common ground of Fenerbahçe, Kıran said, "Sometimes taking a step back is not defeat. It is about looking at the issue from a broader perspective and seeing the big picture. 

Today, when we look at the big picture, we are unfortunately faced with a worrying situation for our Fenerbahçe. We are under a heavy financial burden and a great fatigue caused by a 12-year championship drought in terms of morale."

If something is to be done to get our Fenerbahçe back on its feet, today is the day. 

Today is not a time for resentment, but for embracing and coming together. Today is not a time to say 'I', but to be 'we'. Today is not a time to open old books or settle scores; it is a time to heal wounds and remember friendships and shared values. Aziz Yıldırım is a great asset to our Fenerbahçe, as are Ali Koç, Hakan Safi, Barış Göktürk, and Mehmet Ali Aydınlar. Everyone who has put in effort and fought for this community is a part of Fenerbahçe. We must now set aside personal agendas, grievances, and divisions and unite on the common ground of Fenerbahçe.

Because we have no time to lose in order to pull our Fenerbahçe out of this chaotic environment and this dark period. The entire community, regardless of their past, views, or position, must unite around the same goal. A strong unity is essential for the future of Fenerbahçe. For this reason, I invite all the important figures of the community to meet under the same roof, led by Aziz Yıldırım. Ali Koç should come, as should Hakan Safi, Barış Göktürk, and Mehmet Ali Aydınlar. Because when the subject is Fenerbahçe, everything else is just a detail. Before it is too late tomorrow, we must act together today to wipe away the tears of our children and carry our Fenerbahçe toward a future full of hope. Because what is at stake is not just a sports club; it is the hope of millions, the dream of children, and the greatest love of us all: Fenerbahçe."
