Turkish Football Federation substitute Board of Directors member Talat Papatya has announced his resignation from his post.
According to the report on NtvSpor, Talat Papatya served on the board of directors during Mehmet Büyükekşi's previous presidency. Papatya, who also served as the Vice President of Göztepe Club, had previously left that position.
Papatya's resignation statement is as follows:
"As of March 14, 2024, I have resigned from my position as a TFF Board member responsible for the 1st League, which I have carried out with great pride and dedication since June 2022, as well as from the Fair Play and all other sub-committees we established. I have made this decision due to the inability to resolve disruptions in the operations within my general area of responsibility and my inability to be a part of the solution. I would like to thank the members of all the committees I served on during my tenure, the TFF staff who always worked with great self-sacrifice, and all club presidents, executives, and professionals regardless of the league, and I wish President Mehmet Büyükekşi and my TFF Board colleagues success in their duties."
