Tedesco provides update on Ederson: How long will his injury last?

Fenerbahçe manager Domenico Tedesco spoke to beIN Sports ahead of tonight's Süper Lig match away against Samsunspor.

"TARIK ÇETİN IS AN EXPERIENCED GOALKEEPER"

Regarding Tarık Çetin, who will guard the goal in the absence of Ederson and İrfan Can Eğribayat, the Italian manager said, "The only thing we expect from Tarık is for him to perform at his normal level. He is a player with experience. He hasn't played for a while, but he is experienced. He is a good person and a footballer focused on his profession. Therefore, we want to display what we want on the pitch, as always."

EDERSON OUT FOR TWO WEEKS

When asked about when Ederson would return from his injury, Tedesco stated, "It will probably take two weeks. We expect him to return after the international break, but we will see."

"THE ACCUMULATED LOAD ON NENE AND İSMAİL YÜKSEK WAS TOO MUCH"

Responding to a question about the changes in the starting eleven and the team's formation, Tedesco replied:

"I have said it before. It is harder to play Thursday-Sunday than it is to play Sunday-Thursday. You have two days to prepare for the match. There was an increasing load on both players in particular. We really liked the way they played in the last matches; Nene and İsmail performed really well. But we had to make changes because the load accumulated on them was too much. Therefore, there will be two new players plus Tarık today."
