On-field tension has drawn attention at Real Madrid, which has advanced to the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup. During the match against Juventus, the harsh reactions Jude Bellingham displayed toward Arda Güler were captured on camera and became a major talking point.
In the quarter-final where the Madrid representative defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2, Arda Güler shone with 2 assists. This performance by the young player also allowed him to be included in FIFA's 'Team of the Week' list.
According to claims in the Spanish press, manager Xabi Alonso held private meetings with both Bellingham and Arda Güler following this tension. It was stated that Alonso warned Bellingham, saying, “Respect and unity within the team are the foundation of the club's success.”
It was noted that Xabi Alonso, who also held a sincere meeting with Arda Güler, supported the young player and stood firmly by his side regarding his development. Alonso's assessment of Arda was as follows:
“There are aspects he needs to improve, but he will achieve this by getting minutes on the pitch. We must all support him together.”
