The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has made statements regarding the Beşiktaş-Maccabi Tel Aviv match.
'NEUTRAL GROUND DECISION'
The statement included the following remarks:
"It has been decided that the UEFA Europa League match, in which our representative Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü will face the Maccabi Tel Aviv team on November 28, 2024, will be played in a neutral country, following consultations with the authorized institutions and organizations of our state and the authorized boards of UEFA.
We wish our representative Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü success in the aforementioned match, which will be played on neutral ground to prevent the possibility of sports being turned into an element of provocation and propaganda regarding the massacres committed by Israel in Palestine, moving away from the true spirit of sports."
