TFF announces: Regional Amateur League name changed
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that it has changed the name of the Regional Amateur League (BAL) to the Transition to Professionalism League (PGL).
In a statement made by the TFF, it was noted that in the league, which will be played under the name Transition to Professionalism League in the 2026-2027 season, football players born between 01.01.2002 and 31.12.2011 can be included in the match squad list and play in matches.
It was stated that only 5 football players born in 2001 or earlier can be included in the match squad list and play in league matches.
It was also noted that clubs can register more players born in 2001 or earlier in their extended squads.
It was reported that football players born on 01.01.2012 or later, as well as foreign national players, will not be able to play in PGL matches.
