TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu makes statement on foreign referees
TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu addressed the debate over foreign referees, stating, “We currently have enough referees to manage the leagues. We have weeded out those who needed to be weeded out. They say let foreign referees come, no. We have our own brothers.”
Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made statements regarding the current agenda.
Speaking to CNN Türk, Hacıosmanoğlu responded to the calls for foreign referees that have increased following allegations linking referees to betting.
Hacıosmanoğlu stated that there are enough referees available to manage the leagues, adding, “We have weeded out those who needed to be weeded out. It is time to support those who remain. If the support is endless, they will manage matches more fairly and justly. We are talking to our referees. We will hold a meeting with them in Riva next week. We are behind them in every way. The majority of the 7 referees in the top tier were people we were going to send away at the end of the season.”
