TFF statement on Ozan Kabak, injured in Italy match: Will he play in EURO 2024?
A tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee has been detected in Ozan Kabak, who was injured during the friendly match against Italy. The TFF announced that Kabak has been removed from the EURO 2024 squad.
Ozan Kabak, who was injured during last night's friendly match against Italy, was taken to the hospital for examinations.
A statement regarding the national player's latest status has been released by the TFF.
The statement included the following:
"The examinations and tests of our national player Ozan Kabak, who left the pitch on a stretcher following an injury during the Italy vs. Turkey friendly match last night and was subsequently taken to the hospital, have been completed. As a result of the checks, a tear was detected in the anterior cruciate ligament of Ozan's right knee, and our 24-year-old defender has been removed from the A National Team's extended squad for EURO 2024 due to the severity of his injury. We convey our get-well wishes to Ozan Kabak for his unfortunate injury and hope for his healthy return to the pitch as soon as possible."
Ozan Kabak has become the third player to be removed from the squad due to injury ahead of EURO 2024.
Previously, Çağlar Söyüncü and Enes Ünal were also removed from the A National Team squad due to injuries.
