At the general assembly, which began at 10:00, members expressed their views following presentations by President Dursun Özbek, board member in charge of accounting Mehmet Burak Kutluğ, and the supervisory board.
Following the members' remarks, the acquittal of the board of directors and the supervisory board was voted on separately.
The Özbek administration was acquitted by the votes of the vast majority of the members. The members also acquitted the supervisory board.
Speaking afterward, Dursun Özbek thanked the members who attended the general assembly, stating, "We thank you for your trust in us. This acquittal decision is not just an evaluation of our past work for us. This decision is also a reminder of the responsibility we carry toward Galatasaray.
We are aware of this responsibility. Different views were expressed at the general assembly, and our democratic process was carried out.
Now we have major goals ahead of us. We can only reach these goals through unity and solidarity. Together with my colleagues on the board of directors, we will continue to work with the same excitement to be worthy of this trust. We set out four years ago to make Galatasaray better. We have more work to do.
Galatasaray existed before us. Galatasaray will exist after us. We want to leave a stronger, more successful, and more sustainable Galatasaray to the generations after us. We have succeeded together so far. We will continue to succeed together from now on. Long live Galatasaray."
The general assembly concluded with the discussion and resolution of applications from members who had received disciplinary penalties.
