The cost of foreign VAR referees to the TFF has been revealed
With the return of the foreign VAR referee practice to Turkish football, it has been stated that the 5-month cost of this system to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) will reach approximately 720 thousand Euros.
While the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that foreign VAR referees will serve starting from the second half of the Süper Lig, the cost of this practice has also begun to become clear.
According to a report by HT Spor, the total 5-month cost of foreign VAR referees to the TFF is estimated to be approximately 720 thousand Euros.
MONTHLY EXPENSE: 18 THOUSAND EUROS
It was stated that foreign VAR referees will receive an average salary of 2 thousand Euros per person, and the total monthly cost for 9 referees reaches 18 thousand Euros. In addition to this, with the inclusion of flight expenses, accommodation, and other logistical costs, it is estimated that the total expenditure over the five-month period will reach the 720 thousand Euro level.
The TFF had announced in an official statement recently that foreign VAR referees would be implemented in the Süper Lig starting from the second half of the season.
