Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has been referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) following the red card he received during the away match against Trabzonspor in the 6th week of the Süper Lig.
Buruk, who was sent off in the match where the yellow-red team was defeated 4-0 by Trabzonspor, was referred under Article 36 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions. The article in question is titled "unsportsmanlike conduct."
According to the instructions, Buruk could be banned from entering the locker room and the substitutes' bench for 1 to 3 matches. The final decision will be announced following the PFDK's evaluation.
It is stated that if Buruk receives a one-match ban, he will not be able to be on the bench for the Kasımpaşa match to be played after the international break.
If the penalty increases to two matches, the experienced manager will not be able to lead his team in the away match against Gençlerbirliği, in addition to the Kasımpaşa match.
In the event that the PFDK imposes a three-match ban at the upper limit, the possibility of Buruk not being able to be on the bench for the Fenerbahçe derby will come to the agenda.
