The end of an era at Borussia Dortmund
German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund has announced that Marco Reus will leave the club at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund Club announced that the contract of Reus, who has played for the team for 12 years, will not be renewed when it expires at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old Reus, who began his career at Rot Weiss Ahlen and signed with Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2009, transferred to Borussia Dortmund in 2012 for a transfer fee of 17.1 million euros.
Reus, who played in the UEFA Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund in the 2012-2013 season, experienced 2 German Cup victories and 3 German Super Cup titles.
Having played 424 matches with his team over 12 years, Reus recorded 168 goals and 128 assists.
The experienced footballer, who also played 48 times for the German National Team, scored 15 goals.
