The luxury box crisis between Fenerbahçe and Acun Ilıcalı grows: A striking Galatasaray detail...
Fenerbahçe has announced the legal process regarding Acun Ilıcalı's request for the use of luxury box number 217. The club stated that there is no contract for the box and announced that the list submitted by Ilıcalı included two individuals identified as Galatasaray fans.
Fenerbahçe has issued a statement regarding the legal process concerning luxury box number 217, which Acun Ilıcalı has requested to use. The yellow-navy club reported that there is no contract between Fenerbahçe Futbol AŞ and Ilıcalı regarding the use of the box in question.
In its statement, the club noted that the injunction request filed by Ilıcalı with the Istanbul Anatolian 9th Consumer Court on July 27 was initially rejected. Fenerbahçe argued that during the appeal process, a decision was made without waiting for the club's legal response period.
Fenerbahçe alleged that the panel temporarily assigned to the 18th Civil Chamber of the Istanbul Regional Court of Justice accepted the injunction request based on an unsigned document that did not specify the parties involved. The club announced that it would file a complaint with the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) against the individuals it claims are responsible for this decision.
The yellow-navy side also announced that they have filed an individual application to the Constitutional Court to have the injunction lifted.
CONTRACT AND PASSOLIG DEBATE
According to the statement, when enforcement officers arrived at Fenerbahçe on August 22 to implement the injunction, they requested the contract showing the right to use the box from Ilıcalı's lawyers. The club claimed that the lawyers could not present a document because no such contract exists, and that this situation was recorded in the enforcement report.
Fenerbahçe also announced that a list of 10 people was submitted by Acun Ilıcalı to watch the Konyaspor match from luxury box number 217. According to the club's claim, checks revealed that two people on the list did not have a Passolig card, while two others possessed Passolig cards identified as Galatasaray fans.
The yellow-navy club stated that attempting to admit individuals with Galatasaray affiliation into the stands reserved for Fenerbahçe fans is unacceptable in terms of stadium order and security. The statement emphasized that attempts that could create tension or division in the stands will not be permitted.
