WHO IS RUBEN AMORIM?

Ruben Amorim was born on January 27, 1985, in Lisbon, Portugal. Starting his football career in the Benfica youth academy, Amorim played for teams such as Belenenses, Benfica, and Braga during his career.

He began his managerial career at the start of the 2018-2019 season with Casa Pia, a team in Portugal's third division.

In 2019, the Portuguese Football Federation deducted 6 points from Casa Pia on the grounds that he managed the team during a match without holding the required coaching license, and suspended Amorim from all coaching activities for one year.

Afterward, Amorim took charge of the Braga B team. Shortly after taking office, he achieved eight wins and two draws. After 11 matches at the helm of Braga B, he was promoted to manage the first team.
