The navy-and-white team announced in a statement that the experienced playmaker does not require surgery, but his treatment will continue for some time. It was also shared with the public that Larkin's recovery status will be monitored regularly by the medical team and the coaching staff.

Following checks by the team doctors, the statement emphasized that Shane Larkin underwent comprehensive examinations and that, at present, there is no need for a surgical procedure. Anadolu Efes Head Coach Pablo Laso shared his feelings on the matter with the following words:
