The Sultans of the Net suffer heavy defeat against Italy
Having already guaranteed their spot in the quarterfinals at the Paris Olympics, the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team was defeated 3-0 in sets by Italy in their final group match.
Competing in Group C at the Olympics hosted in Paris, the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team faced Italy.
Italy won the first set of the match played at the South Paris Arena 25-14 and emerged victorious in the second set 25-16.
Winning the third set of the contest 25-21, Italy took the match 3-0.
ONLY DEFEAT IN THE GROUP STAGE
The Sultans of the Net suffered their first defeat in the group stage at Paris 2024 with the Italy match.
The national team had previously defeated the Netherlands 3-2 after coming back from a 2-0 deficit in their first match, and the Dominican Republic 3-1 in their second match.
