The truth about Skriniar at Fenerbahçe: He explains his current status
Experienced defender Milan Skriniar has explained why he did not continue playing after suffering an injury during the halftime break of the Kayserispor match.
Fenerbahçe's experienced center-back Milan Skriniar provided an update on his health status after being substituted at halftime due to an injury sustained during the match against Kayserispor. The Slovak player stated that he felt the team needed him in this challenging match and therefore took the field despite being injured.
Skriniar expressed that he had made a sacrifice, saying, "Under normal circumstances, it was very difficult for me to even play, but I pushed myself to play because the team needed me." The star footballer also emphasized that he did not play in the second half due to his health condition, adding, "If I had played the second half, there would have been a very serious risk regarding my injury. That is why I did not continue."
Head coach Domenico Tedesco also commented on Skriniar's health status after the match. Tedesco stated, "The plan was not to have Skriniar play for 90 minutes. At halftime, he said he felt fatigue in the area where he had a problem. We did not take the risk. There are 6 days until the next match. He is getting better every day."
