In the 5th week of the group stage of European football's most important club-level organization, 8 matches were played in groups E, F, G, and H.

The tournament's defending champion, Manchester City, managed to win 3-2 against Leipzig, a match in which they trailed 2-0 at halftime following goals by Lois Openda, thanks to goals from Erling Haaland, Philip Foden, and Julian Alvarez.

Norwegian star Haaland, who scored his 40th goal in his 35th Champions League match, became the fastest player in tournament history to reach 40 goals. The previous record belonged to Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored 40 goals in 45 matches.

In the other match of the group, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) drew 1-1 at home against Newcastle United. The English team's goal was scored by Alexander Isak, while the Paris representative's goal was scored by Kylian Mbappe.

In this group, leaders Borussia Dortmund have 10 points, PSG have 7, and Newcastle United and Milan have 5 points each.

In Group H, Barcelona, who defeated Porto 2-1 at home, became another team to guarantee their spot in the Round of 16.
